I know what it’s like to feel out of place in a gym. To want strength, but not know where to start.

I see you. I was you.

Hey, I’m Kacey Janeen.

I’m a longtime movement teacher with a deep love for helping women feel strong, grounded and at home in their bodies.

Over the past 14 years, I’ve taught everything from yoga, to mobility, to strength training. And the biggest, most surprising truth I’ve discovered is this:

Purposeful strength training is the most powerful tool we have – to get stronger, move with ease, and feel genuinely confident in our skin. And it’s exactly what us women need to be doing as we age.

Though I didn’t always believe this. In fact, I was convinced my yoga mat could do it all.

Spoiler… it couldn’t.

It was only after a decade of wandering the world in stretchy pants that I finally gave in, once I realized my lack of strength was the main reason for my many aches and pains (even while practicing and teaching on a daily basis!).

With a barbell in hand, my out-of-balance body quickly became stronger, more resilient, and more capable than ever before. My aches disappeared. And I fell in love with a new form of mindful training.

Yep, I was late to the party. But that’s precisely what makes me different from the majority of strength coaches.

I don’t come from a bro-gym background. I never worked out in those big, sexy headphones… let alone the matching crop top and shorts. Instead, I came from a place of “I don’t belong here”, to finally discovering that strength was the missing piece in my movement practice and life.

Like you, I know what it’s like to feel out of place in a gym. To glance at the free weights and feel totally intimidated, maybe even fearful. To want strength, but not know where to start.

I see you. I was you.

That’s why this training draws from my entire movement toolkit, and my love for all forms of movement. Though at its heart is strength – taught with intentionality, creativity, and the joy that comes from moving your body with power and ease. One part grit, one part grace.

I’m excited to show you how to lift with confidence (at any age!), train with intention, and build the kind of strength that supports every season of life.

I can’t wait to show you what’s possible… and how good you’ll feel in those jeans, too!
